Aleksander Samsonov

Member of the Virtual Computer Museum's scientific council

A specialist in user interface design for information security systems, complex corporate security and protection solutions, and monitoring systems.

Collects books on the history of computing. He founded the Nikolai Petrovich Brusentsov Virtual Scientific and Technical Library (VSTL named after N.P. Brusentsov). The library's collection contains several thousand books and publications on algorithms, computers, software development tools, system reliability, and related fields of knowledge, published in the USSR between 1945 and 1991. The library's mission is to preserve the complete body of facts and knowledge available to specialists at the time.

In 1993, he graduated from the V.M. Lomonosov Moscow State University College of Economics with a degree in Management.

He has studied astronomy, astrophysics, programming, and the psychology of perception.

From 2007 to 2021, he developed personal and corporate information security and data leakage detection solutions at Kaspersky Lab.

From 2021 to 2025, he headed the User Interface Design, Standardization, and Testing Department for software products at SberTech.

His interests include the history of computing technology in Russia, particularly ternary computing, as well as the applications and prospects of using ternary technology in conjunction with modern binary technology. He collects and preserves publications and materials related to ternary computing. He is working on an emulator of the Setun 70 ternary computer. He studies possibilities for modernizing its architecture and develops modern tools for ternary software development and testing.
